BUNDOORA PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

GROWTH GROUPS

We believe that God wants us not only to have a relationship with Jesus and others but to grow in these relationships.  Growth Groups are a great way to do this by meeting regularly during the week in homes and helping each other understand and apply God's Bible, praying for each other, building a loving community and serving each other in different ways like: sharing meals together, weekend camps away, movie nights and practical church or community service.

We hope that as you become more connected in a relationship with Jesus and the church, you will take this step of being part of a growth group.  To find out more about Growth Groups, please feel free to contact us.

BUNDY LIFE

'Bundy Life' is a 7-8 week course exploring the heart of our life together at Bundoora Presbyterian.

Suitable for anyone, this course is available online or in person. Contact us to find out more about attending this course.

PRAYER

“Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me that whenever I open my mouth words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel.” (Ephesians 6:18-19)

As sinners forgiven through the death of Christ, we have no greater privilege than free and full access to the Father who sits on His throne of grace.  Jesus graciously calls us to bring our prayers of thanks, confession, intercession and supplication to the Father in His name. At Bundoora Presbyterian we pray during:

  • Sunday services - corporate prayer
  • Growth Groups - praying for one another
  • Monthly prayer meeting on Wednesday evenings
  • Prayer network to inform people of things to pray for in our world and in our community

SERVING

We believe that belonging to God and His people involves loving God and others as a right response to what God has done for us in Jesus.  This response is often expressed in many different ways of practical and loving service.  Most of the time, serving as followers of Jesus happens in our daily relationships in the opportunities given by God at work, home and study.  Sometimes we have organised ways of serving in church like on a Sunday roster or through our Deacons ministry.  Some areas of service require training, accreditation and a commitment to being known by others like our children and youth ministry.  Here are just some of the different ways that people serve at our church:

  • Serving in the kitchen
  • Public address and audio visual service
  • Music team service
  • Prayer leading during the service
  • Administration and logistics
  • Bible reading in the service
  • Children and Youth Ministry
  • Global Missions Committee - serving those who serve Jesus overseas
  • Board of Management - stewarding our property and finances
  • Deacons - helping us to serve others with practical works of mercy
